33. Trip to London!

Hey hey babesss!

It's Caro here today and I'm posting about my latest trip to London!
I was there a few days ago and stayed for 5 days and had an absolutely lovely time, as always do when I'm in the City :)

I wanted to share some of the things I did during my stay:

I went to Tower of London where they did a memorial for the fallen on the World War I. They have put millions of poppies that fall from the tower and go all around it. I found it amazing and a beautiful way to remember all the people that fought on that war.

I'm a burger lover and I've tried amazing burgers but O M G people, I've found THE ONE! "Dirty Burger" is the place! It's a tiny restaurant, really cozy and so cool! I had a Larger, a cheeseburger and shared fries and onion fries. Everything was just amazing!!!!

I also went to this area, Hackney Wick, which has a canal that goes all around. It's right where the Olympic park is. Went there during the afternoon and went for a walk as I got to see the sunset by the canal! Really beautiful!

Also, had an amazing americano at this bar, settled just above the canal, with graffitis inside and really cozy furniture. It was lovely! The place is called "Counter Café", a MUST!

On Saturday morning I went for a cheeky brunch with my girls and there's no place for brunch like "The Breakfast Club"! For those who don't know it, it's a chain restaurant specialized in Breakfast and Brunch! The menu is sooooo good and to know what you're gonna have it's always a hard decision! They have restaurant in East London (Shoreditch), Soho, London Bridge (new one, that's the one I went this time!)... You have to queue always but I'm telling you: it is worth it!
I had the "Ham So Eggcited", which consists on pankakes, ham, cheese and egg! And a chai latte :) Brutal!

After all that food, we needed some movement! So we went for a walk around central: crossed London Bridge, walked to Covent Garden (where they have the Christmas tree already!), Picadilly Circus, Oxford Street..

Another day I went for dinner and drinks at Brixton Village! I had never been to Brixton before and although it is known to be a dodgy area, I actually liked it! Brixton Village has restaurants from all over the world (had dinner at a Colombian restaurant and it was delicious!) and really cool bars to have a couple of drinkies!
I went to a bar called "Seven" which was a Spanish tapas' one actually! Didn't have food there though, just cocktails and they were amazing may I say! Tried one with Vodka and fig liquor, really sweet and tasty! And the other one was Rum with Amaretto, and wow, that was strong! Loved the presentation of that one:

That's it guys! I did some other things but these are the ones I wanted to share and found interesting! If you're planning to go to London soon I recommend everything I mentioned on the post, you won't regret it :)

  5. The breakfast looks delish! And wow what a sight it is to see so many poppies like that - it's breathtaking. I have yet to visit London as I live in Canada and I hate long haul flights. If I do go though, I'll have to stay for awhile and go to various other EU countries as well haha.
