49. Christmas wishlist

Hello everyone!
I know it's been literally AGES, I can't even excuse myself I can only say how sorry I am for not uploading a post in forever! Hopefully this time I'll be back for good! I'm gonna try to make time for blogging, at least once a week because I miss this and I miss everyone!
Anywaaaaaaaay, I didn't quite know which post come back with so figured out being (almost) Christmas time (the most beautiful time of the year!) I'd write a Christmas wishlist! So here it is:

As some of you may know, I love the 60's and its fashion, so I'm quite obsessed with this kinda booties. I love a velvet pair and a leopard pair both from H&M but thought these are like the basics.

Ever since Kat Von D cosmetics were available in Spain I've been lusting after them, especially after this foundation. With its high coverage, matte finish and long duration on, I think its ideal for nights out!

I'm obsessed with strobbing and I've been looking for this like crazy lately but it's sold out everywhere in Barcelona! I just think it gives such a gorgeous glow and it has a great staying power (I used my friend's once!).

I want a pair of grey jeans and I know these are more on the black side but I just love how high-waisted they are and the holes in the knees and how they fit!

Of course this has to be on my list! I love them, especially Dolce K and Candy K! They're sold out though and I find them quite expensive so I'd gladly accept the Colour pop ones they've got the dupes (apparently) from! They're way cheaper too! You can find them here, here and here.

6. Last one's a cheeky one but I've been hoping I'd found Harry Styles under my Christmas tree for like 5 years now, so maybe, now they're on a break he's got time to sneak under it... A girl can dream, right?

What have you all been up to during all this time? What's on your Christmas wishlist?

48. Eyebrow care

Hi everyone!
It's been a while and we know it may sound as an excuse but things got real busy! Hopefully after this hiatus we're back for good! We've got exciting things planned for the blog!
I don't know about you guys but we're obsessed with eyebrows! We think they frame your face and can change your expression so if we could only use 3 makeup items, an eyebrow gel or pencil would be one of them for sure!
However, I'm not gonna talk about eyebrow makeup products today because I'm yet to find THE product! I do love Benefit's brow gel but I'm looking for something that gives them a bit more definition so if you've got a holy grail makeup product for brows that exists in blonde shade let me know PLEASE!
What I wanted to talk to you guys about is a product that's improved my eyebrows' appearance a solid 90%. Back in October I overplucked them to the point where I looked like my eyes were on each side of my face (and I totally thought I looked like an alien lolz). Just then (perfect timing) the lovely Paige at Lilash & Librow contacted us to try out their products. I've been applying Librow religiously every night and just a month later I had my full eyebrows back, just the way I like them. They look thicker and healthier now! You just need to spply it like a brow gel either in the morning or st night and it dries (that's why I prefer applying it at night, because I don't wear makeup) so it's easy peasy!
This is 100% my real opinion and even though I got it sent for free I would never write about something I haven't used myself and like.
This were my eyebrows back in October:

And this are my eyebrows at the moment:

You can get LiBrow here: http://www.lilash.com/select-your-country/

How have yall guys been? We need to catch up on so many blog posts! Is there something especific you use to take care of your eyebrows?

Also, get following us on insta, twitter and facebook, we're: robberscorner, caroogimeno and mireyiitta on every social media.

47. My everyday makeup routine

Hello everyone!
How are you all? We both have finished our exams, Caro's having some deserved off time in London and I've been in bed with tonsilitis since I finished them, great innit? I've been meaning to write this post for ages but I couldn't even bring myself to think or edit or just anything apart from sleeping. I'm sorry!
However, here I am. This is a post I've been asked to write a few times so here it is: my everyday makeup routine! In this post I'm gonna explain you what I usually use on my face! (I'll do a tutorial too eventually and a post on lips' care among others.)
To start with, after washing and moisturizing my face I:

1. Apply primer all over my face
I use the Instablur from The Body Shop as it's just the best one I've tried. Amazing quality-price relation and the tube lastes me ages. It helps my pores disappear and my makeup stay on all day. I apply it with my fingers in circular motions.

2. Apply my foundation
I am currently mixing up my Rimmel Lastin finish in the colour 010 Light Porcelain as it's extremely light for me, with my L'Oreal Accord Perfect in Honey. I get my exact colour with them both. I apply it with a foundation brush.

3. Apply my concealer
I'm using Maybelline's Eraser in Light as it covers my dark eyes perfectly and doesn't crease. I also use it under my cheekbones. I use my beauty blender to blend it in. Applying concealer after foundation helps me get a more natural look and make sure my foundation stays in place.

4. Apply eyeshadow primer
I use Benefit's Lemon Aid to even out my eyelid tone. I apply it with a small brush that came in the set with the lemon aid.

5. Apply loose powder
Now I've got a flawless-looking face I want it to last all day! For that I use my reliable Rimmel's Stay Matte powder in 005 Silky Beige. I apply it with a big powder brush all over my face in small taps as I want my foundation to stay on my face, not brush.

6. Face contour
Contour is one of the most important things in makeup for me. I use Sleek's face form palette in Medium. However, I only use the contour powder from there as the bronzer's too shimmery and I find the highlighter too subtle. I apply the contour powder on my cheekbones and my jawline with a contour brush. Righ after that I use my Kiko bronzer powder in 104 (it's matte) as a blush to not make the contour line too obvious and gime me a healthy colour. However, I do use a pink blush sometimes instead of the bronzer if I'm going for a girly look.

7. Eyebrows
Eyebrows. Are. Hella. Important. They frame our face and give us character. I love big brows, however, I'm not saying everyone should have them bushy brows out but let's face it, a natural brow is more attractive than the over-plucked ones we wore back in the day! I have naturally bushy brows, I trim and pluck them myself and I like using Essence's eyebrow designer in blonde to perfect them. However' I won't be repurchasing this as it's a bit darker than my actual brows and I find it quite harder to apply as it isn't too smooth.

8. Eyeshadow
If I have time I like to apply some eyeshadow.I love this Makeup Revolution palette I got a few months ago. It's just so cheap and pigmented and all the colours in it are gorgeous. I usually apply "Now it's only me" on my lid and mark my crease with "Take a chance" and "Million dollar contract" as I'm love pink eyeshadows on brown eyes and I think they're very feminine.

9. Mascara
I am a mascara junkie, I like trying out different ones but I'm currently using L'Oreal Miss Manga again as I love it. I apply it on a zig zag motion from my eyelashes' roots to the ends.

10. Fake eyelashes
Now I don't always do that, basically I don't do it if I'm in a rush but I like applying them if I have time as they make me feel a million times prettier (well as pretty as I can get hahah). My favourite ones are Ardell's Demi Wispies. They're really natural looking and their band is invisible instead of black so you don't even need to apply eyeliner to not make it too obvious you're wearing them.

11. Lip liner
To end up with, also if I have time, otherwise I'll just put on some lipbalm and get going, I'll apply some lipliner. I love using lipliners as they give my lips that matte look but don't dry them out. I am currently loving NYX's Natural and Rimmel's Tiramisu. They both make my lips look plum but natural. (and they're super cheap!!!)

So that's it! If you've got any question on how I apply any of this just ask away!

What do you usually apply on your face?

36. Favourite Autumn lipsticks

Hi everyone!

It's Mire on the keyboard today and I'm gonna show you my favourite lipsticks for this time of the year.

I absolutely love dark, vampy lips and taupe nude tones on this colder time of the year.

1. NYX soft matte lip cream Stockholm
This is one of my favourite lipsticks EVER! I actually own a couple more from this range: London and Abu Dhabi, which are also quite taupe nude. It looks super matte and lasts ages on the lips and I find it doesn't dry my lips as much as other matte lippies.

2. True colour lipstick sheen Mulberry
This is the darkest shade of lippy I own. It is a dark plum colour that looks almost black on. It's really creamy and doesn't dry my lips at all. However, I find it kind of runs around my lips after awhile if I'm not using a lipliner, but I usually use it and it looks great then.

3. Rimmel Moisture renew 470 Glam Plum Fulham
This is a berry colour that's halfway between a dark red and a plum tone, I'd say it's oxblood. It's really creamy and soft but it does need reapplying as it doesn't last ages on.

4. Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick 077 Asia
This was the first Kylie Jenner kinda lipstick I bought because it was a really good one for that for just about 4€. It's not too matte, it's got a subtle shimmer but you can't really see it on the lips (I don't like shimmery lipsticks so I wouldn't wear it otherwise!). It's a nice taupe dark nude really soft lipstick.  It also looks really similar to the colour the Little Mix girls usually wear.

5. MAC Matte Velvet Teddy
This is one of the key lipsticks for the Kylie Jenner lip. I absolutely love it, it's matte but it doesn't looks extremely matte nor it's drying. It's a nice brownie nude shade.

6. MAC Satin Brave
This is the other key profuct for that Kylie Jenner pout. It is a satin lipstick in a natural pink shade that sweetens up any makeup look.

7. MAC Satin Media
This my first MAC lipstick ever and also my favourite one. I got it as a present four years ago for Christmas when I wasn't really into MAC but was absolutely head over heels for it. It's a gorgeous dark oxblood shade that looks amazing with natural eyes.

8. MAC Retro Matte Riri Woo
This is a matte red lipstick from Rihanna's collection. I know it's quite a bright shade for this time of the year but I find it brightens up my face and I love it especially for nights out.

As you've seen, I'm quite a fan of a matte lip rather than a satin lip and I very rarely use lipgloss.
Hope you all enjoyed the post, thanks for reading, commenting and following, we appreciate yall A LOT!

What are your favourite Autumn lipsticks?

33. Magnitone Q&A with Pixie Lott

Hi everyone!

It's Mire here! So, in case you didn't already know I absolutely love Pixie Lott, so I was absolutely over the moon when I was selected to be one of the 200 bloggers to "attend" their exclusive broadcast Q&A session with her. In it, she talked about the product and answered a few questions.

I will do a post about the product itself since it'll be home with me in a few days and I wanna do a review post and talk further about it. Here's what Pixie answered to our questions:

-Why did you decide to work with Magnitone?
I wanted to spread a positive message among young girls because it's important to be confident, and having glowy skin can give you confidence.

-Is the Lucid soft for sensitive skin?
As its bristles are rounded it's especially gentle on the skin, even more than using the hands as it doesn't rubb it. It's got a 1 minute timer so it turns off after a minute, that way it's impossible to overuse it and it can't damage your skin.

-How has Magnitone changed your skin?
It just looks way healthier and it makes putting make up on in the mornings a lot easier as my skin is so soft. It's so easy and quickly to use which is perfect for me as I don't really have much time.

-What is your skin care cleansing routine?
I use the Lucid Magnitone and my usual cleanser. I always rely on the same products as they're really good on my skin. I use it morning as normal cleansing and evening as deep cleansing as I wear lots of makeup on a daily basis.

-What is one beauty product you cannot live without?
(there's quite a long discussion about mascaras, lip balms and other products) probably moisturizer, don't you agree?

-Do you have makeup free days?
Yes, not too often but I love them! If I want a light coverage I use light foundations with no impurities or tinted moisturizers.

-What are your top skincare tips?
It's true what everyone says, it's really important to remove your makeup properly before going to bed, and especially not to use face wipes! Using the Lucid only takes one minute and you get a deep cleanse so there's no excuses!

-What's in your beauty bag?
From memory I know I have my favourite Benefit highlighter which I know I can always rely on to give me that healthy glow.

-Does Oliver like you made up or natural?
(She laughed) Well he always says he prefers me with less make up on but I just look so rough in the morning when I just woke up and put on my glasses so I don't really know if he's just being nice!

-Who was your fashion/beauty guru inspiration when growing up?
Good question! I love everything from the 60's so I love Brigitte Bardott and Edie Segwick, I loved her quirky eyes and just their makeup and hair and fashion in general! However, as a young child I thought Britney Spears was so beautiful! Hahah

-What's your biggest beauty tip?
Don't overuse powder!

-What's your must have skin care product whilst travelling?
Appart from the Magnitone of course (laughs) I don't know, probably a lip balm! I like applying it first thing in the morning, especially during the winter as my lips get dry!

-What's your biggest beauty extravagance?
I absolutely love pamper sessions and spa days, they make you feel so much better, it's so good!

-What helps you build your confidence?
There's a lot of things that influence in that! Being with my friends, wearing a little black dress, nice shoes, good hair and makeup days and if I'm feeling comfortable in myself!

-Who are/were your music inspirations/infuences?
I've always loved big female voices so I love big vocalists especially from the Motown, like Whitney, Mariah and Celine Dion.

-To end up with... Do you think you'll win Strictly Come Dancing?
(laughs) I wish I knew! I hope so!

That was it! It was such a lovely broadcast experience and I really enjoyed! Thank you to Magnitone and Pixie Lott for this massive opportunity!

What are your main beauty and skin care tips?

xx

27. Skin care routine (combination skin)

Hey everyone!
It's Mire here! Haven't done a beauty post in quite a while so thought I'd do one about my skin care routine.
I use La Roche-Posay products as they're perfect for sensitive skin yet have a large range of products for oily to dry skin.
I've got combination skin so tend to have a bit of shine on my forehead and breakdowns on my cheekbones and chin occasionally.
So, to start of with I use a micellar cleanser which works wonders for me. You just need a cotton bud which is perfect because I don't like putting water on my face during the winter. It's gentle with my skin and leaves it feeling super clean. It takes off my make up and any nasty stuff that gets on it during the day.

To continue with I use a moisturizer. If I'm having bad breakdowns I'll use Effaclar Duo. I've read lots of people saying it dries out their skin really badly, but to be honest I just use it in localized spots. It promises fading away redness and scarring and it sure as hell does. You have to be constant and apply it daily dor great results.

To end up with I apply moisturizer on the rest of my face or on it all if I haven't used Effaclar Duo. It leaves my skin hydrated but matte as it doesn't contain oils and it's got more like a sorbet texture.

It came with the Effaclar two weeks treatment which consists of a facial cleanser and the moisturizer. I've been using them both for a week and I love them!

Last but not least, I apply Cicaplast on a few scars I got in my neck. They're burns from my hair curler and looked horrible, but they're fading away and almost disappeared at this point.
(Sorry for the picture, I know the package is nasty, but I've had it for a long time and yeah it just sort of happened!)

What are your favourite skin care products?

5. Lush addict

Hi there!

Mire here! It feels like ages since I last posted here but as Caro said on our last post we've been quite busy during the summer, but haven't we all?

I'm gonna talk to you about my favourite cosmetics brand: Lush. You all know I looooove trying out beauty products but there's not a brand that I love as much as  I love Lush! They've been on the bussiness for several years now and what makes them especial is that they only work with natural products. Also, they are against animal testing (which I support 100%) and collaborate with different charities. Appart from that, they only use the finest quality products but still sell them at afforable prices.

I went on a little trip to Lush in Las Arenas shopping centre in Plaza España looking for a product in particular. My hair is dark blonde but it gets way lighter during the summer with the rays and the beach and all that summery stuff, and not that September's started (I can feel you all crying and so am I) it's starting to get a bit yellow... And I definitely don't want that! That's why I bought "Daddy-O" ("El Patriarca" in Spain). It's a liquid shampoo whose main ingredients are violet and lemon. It's a violet- coloured shampoo, and it works wonders to neutralise yellow tones. It's easy to understand how this works looking at the chromatic circle:
As you see, yellow is opposite to violet so that the latter neutralises the first one. Easy peasy! It also works great for my bleached-hair beauties to forget about the brassy tone that we all get eventually!

Needless to say it leaves my hair smelling deliciously. For me it's really important the smell of shampoos, but doesn't it piss you off when you get one that smells Lush just after shower but it disappears after like 10min? The flowers smell (hairdressers smell according to my friends) lasts on my hair for a day which makes me love it even more!

As I was there I ask the lovely lady that attended my for a sample of their facial face mask "Cupcake". I've gotta say it's not the first time I've tried it, I've already used up two of them in the past but it is my favourite face mask EVERRRR! It smells like chocolate, like seriously, you just wanna eat it (don't do it tho, sadly it's not edible!)

I've got combination skin and got spots in that time of the month or when I'm a tad more stressed than usual and this makes them disappear as it leaves my face oiless (if that is even a word haha). It's a natural face mask so you have to use it up before a certain expiration date and keep it in the fridge. They usually last up a good month.

Shout out to the lovely lady that gave me a normal size instead of a sample one for free! I love you!

That's my post for today, hope you enjoyed and definitely have a look at Lush! I usually go to the one in L'Illa shopping centre and I L O V E their staff! But I've been at the one in Las Arenas and a couple of them in London and literally all of the staff working at Lush is so lovely and always willing to help you personally but without stressing you out.

If you don't have a local lush then you can visit their website: https://www.lush.es

Talk to yall soon!

2. Winged eyeliner

Hello everyone!
If you know me you'll know I'm a big fan of winged eyeliner and cat eyes... However it's not something I'm mastered at (yet!), so if you, like me, aren't best pals with liquid eyeliner but love that cat eye look keep reading.

After looking for a good-easy to use-affordable eyeliner (does that even exists? Yes!) for ages a friend from the UK finally recommended me a "Collection" one that turned out to be my favourite eyeliner ever. It's the "Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner" and you can find it in Boots or Superdrug around the UK and it costs less than 3£ (such a bargain!). It is a felt tip eyeliner really easy to use and it dries instantly once applied ao you don't have to wait with your eyes closed for ages nor end up with your eyelid covered in black like a panda. I also love that it's a nice black like it's really pigmented and it's a bargain so I like to stock up everytime I go to the UK!

However, if you don't live in the UK or can't travel/order on the internet I have an alternative for you! It's my go-to eyeliner when I run out of my Collection one! It's the "L'Oréal Super Liner perfect slim" and you can find it basically in any drugstore. It's a bit more expensive than the other one as it costs 7£ (which is around 8€). I don't find it expensive at all though since it works wonders and lasts ages! The only difference with the Collection one is that the felt tip is a bit alimmer, which is good i you want to get creative with your eye wings.

There's a third option for easy eye wings on a budget! It's the "KIKO Daring look eye marker", it's 7€ and you can find it in any KIKO store! (Thank you Nuria for the recommendation!)

So here it is! That's my secret for perfect eye wings! Hope you like the post and find it useful!
